The department of orthotics and prosthetics equipped with high-level manpower possessing a
certificate of
orthotics and prosthetics engineer along with relevant facilities is manufacturing various kinds of aids
necessary for inpatients and outpatients.
In particular, with much interest taken in daily movement aids for patients with cervical vertebrae injury,
doctors, residents, occupational therapists, and orthotics and prosthetics manufacturing engineers are
developing aids essential for patients through conference twice a month. As a part of the development, they
raised a shout of victory by reading a paper with an aid entitled Multi-Functional Hand Orthosis at the 42nd
Peiching International Spinal Cord Society.
They are much interested in aids for patients with infantile paralysis, besides, they are researching and
developing aids that fit patients' body types instead of existing ones.
