Aiming to enhance the quality of life of persons with disabilities, the Department of Psychiatry provides professional counseling and treatment related to mental health. It provides treatment for disability-caused stress, anxiety, depression, pain, conflict in relations with others, memory loss, and other cognitive impairment.
For inpatients, the Department provides consultation treatment that is requested by the department in charge. During outpatient service hours, the Department provides diverse treatment to the general public, in addition to mental health counseling and treatment for persons with disabilities. As leading examples, the Department offers professional treatment for depression, insomnia, anxiety, mild cognitive impairment, dementia, and pain disorder.
The Department of Psychiatry strives to provide top-quality medical services for panic disorder and personality disorder as well.
Psychological Intervention Program for Persons with Disabilities and Families
We provide Psychological Intervention Program designed to reduce emotional distress and stress experienced by individuals with disabilities and their caregiving families, as well as to support the psychological adjustment of hospitalized patients following injury. We provide an individual persons with disabilities and their families.
