Outpatient Nursing Team

Placing customer satisfaction ahead of others
The outpatient team started out recognizing the importance as the customer receiving department, and provide not only speedy and accurate nursing service to all kinds of demands, but also top quality customer oriented nursing service through health management consultation.

• Operates consultation rooms for hypertension and diabetesWe operate hypertension and diabetes consultation rooms for inpatients and their guardians. Based on professional nursing, management methods such as dietary therapy, blood pressure checks, blood sugar checks, exercise therapy etc. are trained, followed by continuous follow up management.
• Operates bedsore prevention and self management consultation roomsInformation is provided on bedsore prevention, self skin management and latest treatments for people with cerebral injury and spinal cord injury prone to bedsores due to declined senses and exercise restriction.

Central Distribution Room Nursing Team

Center of infection prevention by observing the standardization of sterilization process
We observe the standardization of sterilization process in appropriately supplying various medical equipments maintaining utmost sterilized condition as well as medical expendables to support smooth workflow procedure. By taking charge of hospital departments' infection management, staff training and QI activities are carried out in minimizing infection at the hospital.

Ward Nursing Team

Detailed and professional nursing according to patient characteristics
The hospitalization ward is being operated around 3 wards encompassing stroke, traumatic cerebral injury, spinal cord injury and elderly patients, and detailed & professional nursing is provided according to patient characteristics. Due to recent increase in professional nurses, wound specialist nurses and sex rehabilitation nurses are being put in action to cope with patient demands and also set a steppingstone in setting foothold on the professionial area of rehabilitation nursing.

Operates dynamic nursing program leading rehabilitation
Efficient hospitalization life is enabled by running a range of rehabilitation nursing programs for psychological rehabilitation through promotion of patients' satisfaction with hospitalization, functional recovery, and improvement in a sense of self-efficacy.

1. Rehabilitation nursing training program

• Bladder care
• Bowel care
• Skin care and bedsore treatment
• Respiration care

2. Airway suction prevention(swallowing control) program

Nursing intervention is personally conducted at rest rooms of the ward No. 3, 5 from 11:30 to 12:00 every morning in order to recover oral and pharyngeal functions as soon as possible for patients with swallowing disorder among the hospitalized patients.

3. Morning gym program

This program intends to be a help in eliminating a sense of loss of desire for rehabilitation which results from depression and joint contracture by making the hospitalized patients with stroke do a morning gym and participate in the rehabilitation program.

4. Daily life movement program

This program aims at increasing individual rehabilitation treatment effects to be training-based rehabilitation treatment by making the activities being made in the treatment room continued in the ward.

5. Stroke patients self-help program

This program is to get wisdom of the life while people sharing the same problem have a meeting to share their hardship, exchange helps in treatment, correct distorted thinking about the disease, promote their desire and self-efficacy, improve self-help ability, and enhance the quality of life. This program is conducted at 5PM~6PM once a week (every Thursday) for the 5~6 selected persons with a high level of depression. A level of improvement is compared and evaluated by measuring the promotion of self-efficacy and the level of depression with evaluation tools before/after applying 8-week program, a certificate for achievement is granted, and this program is getting good response from patients and their guardians.

6. Discharged patients follow up

As part of continuous follow up for the hospitalized patients, this program has been performed for the purpose of early return to the society as well as improvement in the quality of life of the disabled by preventing complications with ceaseless rehabilitation of the disabled through visit nursing service, rehabilitation information provision, and cooperation with health care center centered on the discharged patients, from 1998. As of 2006, the regional scope of visit nursing is extended into Gangbuk-gu, Dobong-gu, Seongbuk-gu, and Euijeongbu-si.
